Sewage dumped in rivers for months on end

Untreated sewage is being spilled into rivers for months on end from emergency outlets, which is not only “aesthetically exceptionally unpleasant” but also introduces “very high concentrations of pathogenic organisms,” into the water, says Professor Rick Battarbee (UCL Geography)
