Previous pledge to end deforestation ‘failed’

The agreement to end and reverse deforestation by 2030 was similar to the pledge made in 2014 at the New York Declaration on Forests, which “failed to slow deforestation at all,” says Professor Simon Lewis (UCL Geography).
