Only six healthy children died of Covid during England’s first year of the pandemic

A total of 25 youngsters died from the virus between March 2020 and February 2021 but the majority had underlying health conditions, which shows the comparatively small risk Covid poses to children, says Professor Russell Viner (UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health).
