Unclear if free speech law will help or harm universities

A law designed to ensure free speech on university campuses may be a case of using “a sledgehammer to crack a nut,” and may make universities more cautious about who they book, rather than less, due to potential legal issues, says UCL President & Provost Dr Michael Spence.
