Is axing fixed-term parliaments a good idea?

The Fixed-term Parliaments Act was “rather rushed” but any future changes are likely to simplify the legislation, rather than return to a system where the government has complete control over when an election is called, says Professor Meg Russell (UCL Constitution Unit).
