Can spontaneous brain activity cause visual hallucinations?

Dr Avital Hahamy (Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging, UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology) speaks about her new study finding that spontaneous activity in the brain’s visual centres may cause visual hallucinations in people who have lost their vision.
