Covid could become ‘disease of poverty’ if government does not raise sick pay

A refusal by the Government to address issues associated with deprivation could lead to Covid-19 becoming a “disease of poverty”, as diseases such as TB have been in the past, says Professor Deenan Pillay (UCL Infection & Immunity).
