Solar panel batteries could drastically reduce reliance on electricity grid

Homeowners typically use only 30-40% of the energy from their solar panels, but with a domestic battery, reliance on the grid can be reduced by up to 84%, finds research involving Dr Giorgio Castagneto Gissey (UCL Bartlett School of Environment, Energy & Resources).
