Healthcare professionals should avoid certain words when discussing weight

Words including ‘chubby’ and ‘extra-large’ elicit negative responses from more people than terms such as ‘unhealthy weight’ and ‘overweight’, finds a new survey by researchers including Dr Adrian Brown (UCL Medicine).
