Claims that Covid-19 originated outside of China are “flimsy”

The closest virus to Covid-19 is circulating in bats in China, and reports pushed by the Chinese state which suggest the virus originated elsewhere are “strong claims supported by flimsy evidence,” says Professor Francois Balloux (UCL Genetics Institute).
