Kenyan biometric project will “reproduce existing inequalities”

A project which assigns each Kenyan citizen a unique identification number requires many ethnic, racial and religious minorities to undergo increased scrutiny and carries the risk of “exacerbating debates over who is ‘really’ a Kenyan,” argues Dr Keren Weitzberg (UCL History).
