Effective treatment for multiple sclerosis could be available within five years

In what is being called the ‘holy grail’ of multiple sclerosis (MS) therapy, researchers from 15 institutions including Professor Kenneth Smith (UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology) found an existing diabetes drug could be used to treat MS patients.
