Babies born by C-section are missing beneficial microbes

Babies born by caesarean section have different gut bacteria from babies who have had a vaginal birth, with fewer microbes from their mothers and more bacteria linked to hospital environments, according to a study co-led by Dr Nigel Field (UCL Institute for Global Health).
