Anti-inflammatory drugs shouldn’t be used to tackle depression

A study which has shown that anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin can reduce the symptoms of depression does not mean we should start prescribing these drugs to tackle the issue, as prolonged use carries major risks, argues Honorary Professor David Curtis (UCL Biosciences).
