The affliction that kept a revolutionary in the bathtub

By extracting DNA from bloodstained newspapers held by French revolutionary Jean-Paul Marat when he was assassinated, a team co-led by Dr Lucy van Dorp (UCL Genetics, Evolution & Environment) has shed light on the mysterious skin condition afflicting Marat in his final years.
