Dinosaurs were thriving before asteroid strike

A paper co-authored by Dr Philip Mannion (UCL Earth Sciences) suggests dinosaurs were flourishing before an asteroid strike wiped them out 66 million years ago, challenging the theory that long-term climate change had already caused them to decline.
