UCL is now ranked tenth in The Guardian's university league table for 2018. UCL departments ranked highly in numerous subject tables, notably the UCL Slade School of Fine Art ranking first in Art, while UCL was in the top five in eight other subject areas: Forensic Science & Archaeology (2nd), Classics & Ancient History (3rd), Architecture (3rd), Building and town and country planning (3rd), English & Creative Writing (4th), Psychology (5th), Anthropology (5th) and Mathematics (5th).
