Dr Hashim Ahmed (UCL Surgery & Interventional Science) led a trial at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL finding that over a quarter of men with a clinical suspicion of prostate cancer could avoid a biopsy if they undergo an MRI scan first.
