For a recent study, Jeremiah Onaolapo, Enrico Mariconti and Dr Gianluca Stringhini (UCL Computer Science) created decoy email accounts, leaked the login details online, and then monitored how cybercriminals took advantage, finding that different types of hackers employed very different strategies.
