Changes to UCL’s senior team
11 January 2024
Vice-President (Strategy) Paul Clark is moving on from his role at UCL and will leave the university at the end of January 2024.
Paul took up the newly-created role in March 2022 and since then has played a leading role in the UCL-wide conversation about our strategic priorities and put in place a new data strategy that will ultimately deliver significantly improved management information for the university.
President & Provost Dr Michael Spence says:
“We are really grateful to Paul for all he has done to establish and lead the crucial Strategy function, and particularly his leadership of the Strategic Plan process and his work on our data strategy. His particular strengths in analysis, planning and consensus building have made a significant contribution to our success in the first phase of our delivery of the Plan. We are all sorry to say goodbye to him and wish him the very best for his future endeavours.”
Professor Paola Lettieri, Pro-Provost (UCL East), will lead the Strategy team in the interim alongside her role as Pro-Provost (UCL East) and it is anticipated that, as we embark on a broad UCL-wide conversation about our academic strategy, the Vice-President (Strategy) role will evolve into one that requires academic leadership.
