UCL Go Abroad Week – 15 to 19 November 2021

2 November 2021

UCL Study Abroad is excited to announce details of this year’s Go Abroad Week – a week of in-person and online events for undergraduate students who are due to study abroad in 2022/23 or are interested in undertaking a global opportunity this academic year or beyond.

Whether you’d like to find out more about your options for a year or semester abroad as part of your degree, or learn more about our short-term global opportunities that fall during the holiday periods, we’ll have something for everyone!

In addition to a number of information and drop-in sessions, we’ll also be hosting international volunteering events and information sessions from partner institutions around the world. Another key theme of the week will be funding, with specific sessions scheduled to highlight the funding support available to students.

Following on from the success of last year’s alumni event, we will once again be running a Global Alumni Panel where we’ll hear from graduates about their own global journey’s and how their time abroad impacted them personally and professionally.

At the end of the week, we’ll be running a virtual version of the Study Abroad Fair, so participants will be able to connect with students who are currently abroad, those who have recently returned, and affiliates from partner institutions. The fair will be a fantastic opportunity to speak to students in whose footsteps you may soon be following!

While the opportunities advertised as part of Go Abroad Week are expected to run in-person, please be aware that the continuing global situation may result in some programmes being cancelled or delivered in a virtual capacity. Despite the challenges of recent times, the UCL Study Abroad team are continuing to do everything we can to facilitate as many safe opportunities as possible.
