Introducing Clarity, UCL's new travel management service

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Clarity to support the travel planning of staff and students with more flexibility and discounts.


Clarity are a global travel management company specialising in higher education. With over 60 years of experience in the industry, they pride themselves on their high levels of customer service, ensuring every itinerary is tailored to the traveller.

Clarity have provided UCL with a personal travel booking tool, which allows you to book flights, trains, Eurostar and taxis online. As a UCL student, booking through the Clarity portal gives you:

  • Access to Academic Rates (discounted) as well as standard fares;
  • Increased flexibility, including discounted or waived cancellation/change fees;
  • Additional baggage allowance;
  • All bookings will have 24/7 expert telephone support.

Bookings can be made through the online booking tool or offline via email or phone.

How to Book

1. Online Bookings

Online bookings can be made through Clarity’s Online Booking Tool. There is a £1 booking fee for online bookings and a £6 fee for amendments/cancellations.

To access the Clarity Booking Tool, you will need a UCL User ID and password to login using single sign on. Please note that if you are a new student, you will receive your UCL User ID once you have completed Pre-enrolment. You will only be able to access the Booking Tool 24 hours after completing Pre-enrolment.

Once you have arrived on the landing page, please select the personal travel option under the Book heading. This will take you through to Clarity’s Go2Book portal to search for and book travel using your personal credit or debit card.

The booking system is user friendly but you may want to refer to the System User Guide or the Video Tutorial.

There is also a Clarity Go2Book App which can be downloaded from iTunes or Google play stores.

2. Offline Bookings

Offline bookings can be made via email of telephone with the Clarity team:

The team is available Monday to Friday, 8.30am–6pm. Outside of these hours, your call will divert to Clarity’s out of hours service, Clarity TwentyFour.

There is a £3 booking fee for offline bookings and a £6 fee for amendments/cancellations and out of hours bookings.

Privacy Policies

Please review the UCL Students Privacy Policy and Clarity Privacy Policy, which sets out how your data will be processed.

Please note that non personal data on your booking may be accessed by a limited number of UCL Professional Services staff for the purposes of reviewing usage and carbon data. Personal information that you provide to complete the booking e.g. passport details will not be visible to UCL.
