Exams at Excel

UCL's summer 2019 exams will be held at Excel London, a modern conference centre in London's Docklands. The exam period runs from Tuesday 23 April to Friday 7 June 2019.

Exams will take place in a range of bright, calm, air conditioned rooms. There are plenty of places to eat and extensive seating and study areas, as well as a prayer room and on-site first aid facilities.

Excel London is in Zone 3 and is served by two stations – Custom House and Prince Regent - on the Docklands Light Railway, which connects to the London Underground, so use the TFL website to plan your journey.

A small number of exams will take place on the Bloomsbury campus - please read your examination timetable carefully.

Late Summer Assessments 19 August–6 September 2019

Late summer assessment (LSA) will be available in 2019 for all students who need to re-sit an exam or have been granted deferred assessment.

UCL's Education Committee has been working towards the introduction of late summer assessments to improve the student experience and better align UCL with the rest of the UK Higher Education Sector.

The Late Summer Assessment period is your next opportunity for assessment after the main exam period and will be counted as a full attempt of reassessment. If you are unable to attend an examination or complete any assessment then you need to apply for a deferral under the Extenuating Circumstances regulations.
