Mike started his career at the MRC Prion Unit, joining UCL as a deputy facility manager in January 2014 before becoming manager of the Cruciform facility later that year. He was appointed as deputy director of UCL Biological Services in April 2018.

During his time at UCL, Mike has worked on the replacement of the LAMIS system, and the establishment of the UK Dementia Research Institute Hub at UCL, including the development of a new IoN-DRI facility at Gray’s Inn Road.

Mike says:

“We have made significant strides aligning Biological Services with the biomedical research community to meet the needs of UCL’s research effort. We will continue to develop Biological Services to meet these needs by providing high quality research support and maintaining a strong focus on the implementation of the 3Rs in research. I look forward to all the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead and contributing to UCL’s research effort by providing a biological service provision commensurate with a world leading university.”
