Gallagher Security System Upgrade – 11 July

UCL Estates Security and ISD are planning an important upgrade of the building access control system that cardholders use to gain access to turnstiles and secure doors.

The system upgrade is due to take place on Thursday 11 July 2019.
 
The impact will be as follows:

  • Thursday 11 July - System upgrade: UCL Security will not be able to issue ID cards from the Andrew Huxley Building Security Office.  All other services from this location will continue as usual.
  • We will not be able to action changes to cardholder building access on the day of the upgrade.
  • Friday 12 July - ID card issuing should resume as normal, but in case the upgrade takes longer than expected, the system should be considered 'at risk'.

UCL Estates apologises for the inconvenience during this important upgrade to one of our key systems.  This upgrade will help us provide a safe and secure environment for the future.
