Get paid writing as a Student Journalist!

With all the exciting public events, exhibitions, lectures and festivals happening at UCL, there are countless different experiences to share as a student here. If you're a keen writer with a passion for producing digital content, we may have the perfect opportunity for you.

UCL Communications & Marketing are keen to find enthusiastic students to join our friendly team as Student Journalists. The role would offer the opportunity for you to develop a range of valuable skills for your CV, as well as a fantastic schedule of interesting events to attend and topics to cover in your articles. Examples include our array of Lunch Hour Lectures, the upcoming It’s All Academic Festival and Festival of Culture, and student advice and lifestyle pieces. The content you create for us will appear on UCL Student News, in myUCL and on the UCL Go! app.

As a Student Journalist, your written articles will be paid for, and we'll provide training beforehand.

If you're interested, simply fill out our form registering your interest in the role with your name, programme of study and a description of your past writing experience.
