At the start of 2016, we asked our Twitter community to help out a fellow student, Lara Casalotti, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
A stem cell transplant was her best hope and the hashtag '#match4lara' was started to help find Lara and others a match. Despite the odds, a suitable donor for Lara was found!
By joining a national bone marrow registry, you can provide a potential gift of life to 37,000 patients like Lara.
