The Week@UCL redesigned thanks to staff feedback
13 October 2016
In readiness for the new academic year, UCL Communications and Marketing (CAM) has conducted research with staff to improve the look and feel of The Week@UCL - the all-staff newsletter.

Over the summer, CAM held focus groups with a ride range of staff from faculties and departments across the university including the Staff Disability Forum to find out how we could make improvements to the channel based on current staff feedback.
Collaboration
The Week@UCL was first launched in May 2011 and was redesigned in 2014 after consultation with a range of UCL staff. We wanted to continue that collaborative approach to ensure staff have a say in internal communications at UCL and could inform the third iteration of the e-newsletter.
The revamp has only been possible because of the input from staff who shared their excellent ideas and suggestions. The final design will incorporate their feedback to produce a visually appealing staff newsletter which is hoped will prove engaging, useful and informative.
The Week@UCL is read by more than 6,000 staff per week, and reaches around 50% of our potential staff audience. Past issues of The Week@UCL are available to browse and download in an archive hosted on UCL Staff News website
If you have an announcement, event, or news item you would like to submit for inclusion in The Week@UCL that is relevant to a wide range of staff, please send an email with a brief outline of the item and a hi-res photograph to internalcommunications@ucl.ac.uk
For more information about the items we include, please see The Week@UCL Editorial Policy.
