Your Universe 2016

Join us in the South Cloisters for UCL's annual celebration of all things astronomical! The 11th Your Universe Festival of Astronomy and Particle Physics will run from Thursday 10 to Saturday 12 March, featuring talks, exhibitions and demonstrations.

There will also be a free lecture every evening:

Seeing in the dark: Finding hidden objects in the universe
Thursday 10 March, 7pm

Dr Sarah Hutton (UCL Physics & Astronomy) will talk about using different wavelengths of light to observe the universe, and what this can reveal about the cosmos.

Think Universe! Why bring 'big' science into elementary education?
Friday 11 March, 7pm

Dr Francisco Diego (UCL Physics & Astronomy) will speak about the 'Think Universe!' project, an integrated science course taught to school pupils aged 9-12.

Public discussion and panel: Life in the universe
Saturday 12 March, 5pm (registration required)

Join our expert panel to discuss questions such as: how did life arise on Earth? Could there be aliens on planets beyond our Solar System? Might humans one day move to Mars?
