Students from recognised universities around the world can apply to study for either three or six weeks here at UCL and gain credit towards their degree. There will be 36 modules from 20 academic departments to choose from, each offering a flavour of UCL's ethos and academic expertise.

Current UCL students are also welcome to apply and are eligible for a 10% tuition fee discount but will not gain credit towards degree programmes; successful completion of modules will instead be listed on your Higher Education Achievement Records (HEAR).

Rhod Fiorini, Head of the Summer School, explains why he hopes to welcome 600 students in its first year: "We've received a fantastic response from across the university and are very impressed by the wide and varied range of modules we'll be able to offer.

"Students will be able to live in the heart of London, complement their academic or personal interests, meet like-minded people from around the world, and have a summer to remember at UCL."

The Summer School is open to all undergraduates who meet the programme's academic and English language entry requirements and who have completed one year of undergraduate study by the time they enrol.

Students on the Summer School will have exclusive access to a social programme that will feature day trips out of London, theatre nights and a unique lecture series that will give them access to UCL's renowned academic community.
