myUCL 2015 summer schedule

1 July 2015

myUCL the e-newsletter which goes out to all UCL students will move from weekly to monthly issues over the summer break.

myUCL 2015 summer schedule The next issue of myUCL will be sent out on Friday 3 July, and the first Friday in August and September thereafter.

Weekly issues of the e-newsletter will resume in the next academic year on Friday 2 October 2015.

myUCL is read by more than 10,000 students - both undergraduate and postgraduate - per week, and reaches on average 25% of the potential student audience. Past issues of myUCL are available to browse and download in an archive hosted on UCL's digital library collection website.

myUCL was developed in response to feedback from student focus groups conducted by UCL Communications and Marketing in which it was clear that students were frustrated by the high volume of emails they were sent from all parts of UCL. myUCL has been created to streamline information relevant to a wide range of students into one convenient e-newsletter.

Improving myUCL

As myUCL has been existence since October 2014, we are going to spend the summer months reviewing student's views on the e-newsletter.

We have already hosted focus groups with a range of undergraduate and postgraduate students throughout the university on the design and content of myUCL. The feedback from these groups is going to help inform our next steps for student communications, and we look forward to sharing our new look newsletter with you in the next academic year.

In the meantime if you have something you would like to be included in myUCL that is relevant to a wide range of students, please send us an email with a brief outline of what the feature is and a hi-res photograph to studentcommunications@ucl.ac.uk.

For more information about the items we include, please see the myUCL Editorial Policy.
