Smokers needed for research into cravings

17 October 2014

Do you smoke five or more cigarettes a day? Would you like to give up smoking at some point in the future? If so, you may be eligible for my study on the effect of different tasks on cravings for cigarettes.

Ashtray   The study involves an easy one-off visit to our department at UCL followed by two short phone calls in the following week.  You'd complete questionnaires, a task about your craving experiences and a computer task.

You would receive £12.50 for your time and we can arrange a time which suits you to come in.

We hope that this research will help us better understand what affects craving in smokers, and in turn, support research into effective ways to quit smoking.  Most people find the experiments interesting and the work may also give us helpful information about addiction more generally.

If you're interested and would like to check your eligibility, email me for more information at sophie.wallace-hadrill12@ucl.ac.uk or find my study on SONA: https://uclpsychology.sona-systems.com/exp_info_participant.aspx?experiment_id=5524

About me
