27 September 2013
The UCLU Big Volunteering Fair, the largest student volunteering fair in London, will be held on Thursday 3 October from 12-3pm in the North and South Cloisters.
The Fair will have 50 different stalls hosted by community projects, charities and NGOs. It is is designed to offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities and ensure there is something of interest to everyone.
Exhibitors at the fair include UCL Outreach, KEEN London, Arsenal FC Double Club, Bloomsbury Festival, United Migrant Workers Education Project, London Nightline, Southwark Arts Forum, UCL Language Club, Enactus UCL, UCL Marrow and UCL Teddy Bear Clinic.
John Braime, UCLU Volunteering Manager, said: "Volunteering is a big part of student life at UCL; it's a good way to get to know London better, meet new people, and experience the world away from lecture theatres, labs and libraries. You'll also boost your chances of finding paid work."
