UCL welcomes UCL Academy students on their first two days of term
11 September 2013
On 4 and 5 September, UCL welcomed new Foundation and Level 3 students from the UCL Academy who spent their first two days of term exploring the Bloomsbury campus and hearing from academics.
The students received a welcome from UCL's new President & Provost, Professor Michael Arthur, as well as talks by Professor Michael Worton and Professor David Price. On Wednesday the students took part in scavenger treasure hunts and campus tours led by UCL undergraduate ambassadors.
UCL and the UCL Academy have enjoyed a close and mutually beneficial relationship since the Academy was opened in September 2012, and this year the main focus of the partnership will be on establishing a lecture and masterclass series conducted by members of the UCL community. The Office of the Vice-Provost (Education) will shortly be approaching departments about taking part in this initiative.
