UCL Winter Volunteering Fair on 17 January
15 January 2013
UCL's Winter Volunteering Fair, on Thursday 17 January, is giving students the chance to make a real difference this year.

The event, taking place in the South Cloisters and hosted by the Volunteering Services Unit, will host 40 London-based volunteering opportunities, including British Heart Foundation, Diabetes UK, Action Tutoring, Hackney Pirates, Westminster Befriend a Family, Access Sport, Disability in Camden, Streetwise Opera, UNICEF and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Meanwhile, in the North Cloisters, UCLU VolSoc will be hosting an international volunteering fair, with exciting projects from around the world. There should be something for everyone - including one-off volunteering events that do not require a big time commitment.
John Braime, UCLU Volunteering Manager, says: "UCL students are getting involved with volunteering in ever-increasing numbers, as shown by the big turnouts for our October and November fairs. These fairs give students the chance to find out about a wide range of projects directly from the organisers. We're looking forward to a busy afternoon in the Wilkins Building on the 17 January!"
