Green Impact 2012 /2013: find out more and take part

5 October 2012

Teams are being sought from amongst UCL's departments and divisions for a programme enabling staff and students to assess and improve their environmental performance, and contribute to UCL's environmental strategy.

Green Impact

Green Impact UCL is a programme which brings together staff, students and the wider community to enable and showcase positive changes in environmental practice.

Teams complete criteria in a workbook which address different areas of environmental impact.

During the UCL programme, an online league table will be regularly updated to show how the teams are doing. There will be an award ceremony in which all the teams are recognised for their achievements and the most successful team will be awarded the Gold Award. Last year 29 teams from different departments at UCL signed up for the programme and the team from CEGE won the Gold Award.

Rosemary Willatt, Green Impact UCL programme manager: "Green Impact is a great way for staff and students to address environmental impacts. The programme guides teams through the process and provides them with support and assistance. Last year was very successful with eighteen teams and two labs completing the programme."
