Volunteers sought for online mentoring website

8 September 2011

FutureYou thefutureyou.org.uk/" target="_self">FutureYou, a charity partner of UCLU's Volunteering Services Unit is looking for volunteer mentors aged over 26 for one of their online projects.

FutureYou is a pioneering, safe social networking site which supports excluded young people who want to get back on track. They are looking for people from all walks of life who can provide online support to users of the website. All you need is a good listening ear and regular internet access. Full training, a CRB check and travel expenses are provided.

There are over 900,000 young people in the UK who are not in education, employment or training and trying to find their way in life - could you use your life experience to help them realise their potential? From the comfort of your PC and at a time that suits you, you can really help young people change their lives.

The Volunteering Services Unit is a joint project of UCL and UCLU, and is here to make volunteering in London as easy as possible. We mostly work with students, but can help UCL staff get involved too.

For more information about FutureYou and an application pack please email John Braime.
