Operating a Virtual Lift: participants needed for a study in an immersive virtual environment
10 November 2011
As part of our research on understanding people's responses in immersive virtual environments, we are looking for volunteers for a new study.

The whole study will take about 30 minutes
including completion of a set of short questionnaires, a 5 - 10 minutes
interactive virtual reality (VR) experience, some more questionnaires after the VR
experience and a short interview in the end. You will receive £5 for your time.
Some people may find aspects of the experience to be stressful. The study will take place in the VR lab in the Computer Science Department in Malet Place Engineering Building, UCL.
This study has been approved by the UCL Research Ethics Committee (1336/002).
You are eligible to apply if you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Have good vision (glasses or contact lenses are fine)
- Are not subject to epileptic seizures
- Are fluent in English
Currently we have the VR lab booked for this experiment for the following dates:
21st and 22nd of November, and the whole week starting at 28th November.
If you are interested, please email Sylvia Pan for further questions or to arrange a time slot.
