UCL neuroscientist awarded prestigious Swedish Neuropsychological Society prize

  • Professor Sarah-Jayne Blakemore, a researcher at the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, has been awarded Distinguished Lecturer in Neuropsychology 2011 by the Swedish Neuropsychological Society.

    The prize, valued at 30,000 Swedish Krona, was awarded in recognition of Professor Blakemore's outstanding contribution to neuroscience. The awarding body particularly acknowledged her contribution to the understanding of autism. Professor Blakemore will give 4 lectures in Sweden over the course of the year.

    Upon receiving the award Professor Blakemore commented, "It is a great honour to be awarded this wonderful prize and I look forward to discussing my current research with my Swedish colleagues."

    Professor Uta Frith, also from the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, was a previous recipient of this award.
