The Chadwick Trust is inviting applications for its Travelling Fellowships opening in March 2010.

The Trustees will consider applications for the fellowships, which grant up to £5,000 for MPhil / PhD students, or up to £2,500 for masters students to visit a location and investigate and report on a current problem in the public health field. Applications are open to any current postgraduate student of UCL or the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

The Chadwick Trust was set up in 1895 under the provisions of the will of Sir Edwin Chadwick to promote research into public health engineering. The Trust's objective is to encourage students in the study of public health, including engineering and environmental aspects relating to the objects of the Trust.

It is envisaged that a minimum of six weeks will be spent on the activities for the Fellowships. The successful candidates will then be required to submit a report about their activities within three months of completing their project.

Application forms, together with a copy of the regulations, are available to download from the Chadwick Trust website at the link above or from Nick McGhee, Academic Services, at n.mcghee@ucl.ac.uk

The deadline for completed application forms is 26 February 2010.
