Intercultural communication workshop
30 October 2009
A few places are still available for the interactive workshop on intra- and intercultural communications on 10 November, run by the UCL Centre for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching.
The workshop will be of interest to academics and others involved with student learning.
The overall objective is to examine barriers
and explore solutions to enhance learning in an intra- and
intercultural environment.
The workshop focuses on two areas: to examine our own cultural values, beliefs and attitudes and how they influence the way we communicate; and to identify and develop a set of skills in order to communicate effectively face-to-face in an intra- and intercultural diverse environment.
The programme is highly interactive involving discussion, practical
activities and case studies.
The workshop will take place 10am - 4pm in Room SB5, 188 Tottenham Court Road.
