UCL in top three for HEFCE funding

UCL has once again been rewarded for its research excellence, with a top funding allocation from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).

In 2008/2009, UCL will receive £104,114,364 for research funding, the third highest UK research allocation after the universities of Cambridge and Oxford. It reflects the excellence and breadth of UCL's research activity.

UCL will also receive £66,290,362 in funding for teaching, £911,361 additional funding for very high-cost and vulnerable science subjects, and £1,101,149 for Overseas Research Students Awards.
