Former professor new Polish Finance Minister

Professor Jacek Rostowski was sworn in today as the Minister of Finance of the new Polish government formed by new Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Professor Rostowski earned a BSc in International Relations in 1972 and took an MA at the UCL School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES) in 1973. He was a lecturer at UCL SSEES from 1986-1996, when he left to take the Chair at the Economics Department at the Central European University, Budapest.
He last came to UCL SSEES one year ago to present a paper at the Centre for Social & Economic Change in Central Europe.
