Archaeology Alive!

11 July 2007

The UCL Institute of Archaeology is holding an open day on Saturday 14 July, offering the public a chance to meet the experts and try their hand at a range of free activities.

Children, teenagers and adults are all welcome to explore the world of archaeology. Younger children have the opportunity to make mosaics, paint cave art, learn excavation skills and much more. Talks catering for teenagers and adults will cover topics such as dating artefacts, careers in archaeology and half a million years of archaeology in London. There will be three tours of the institute over the course of the day.

All activities are free and there is no need to book. They will take place 10.30am-5pm at the UCL Institute of Archaeology, 31-34 Gordon Square, London, WC1H 0PY.
