UCL fifth in 'Sunday Times' ranking

UCL has been rated fifth in the 'Sunday Times University Guide 2006', and 28th in their Academic World Ranking table, published on 10 September 2006.
UCL has maintained its position from the 2005 Sunday Times Guide, and was rated 'Sunday Times University of the Year' in 2004. Teaching excellence was rated at 77.4 per cent, student satisfaction at 71.5 per cent and research quality at 77.8 per cent.
Compared to its other top five peers - Cambridge, Oxford, London School of Economics and Imperial College - UCL fared best for student satisfaction and student to staff ratio. The university also has the lowest student drop-out rate.
