Scholarly Teaching Lecture Series

24 October 2006

The new Scholarly Teaching Lecture Series, hosted by the UCL Centre for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching (CALT), will begin on Tuesday 7 November with a talk by Professor Paul Black, Emeritus Professor of Education at King's College London.

In his talk, 'Assessment for Learning: Improving Student Learning by Enhancing Feedback', Professor Black will be discussing the principles and practices of formative assessment and how they can be effectively applied to university teaching.

The Scholarly Teaching Lecture Series provides a briefing once a term by a prominent researcher, and focuses on how current research, applied to practice, can improve student learning.

Professor Black's talk will take place in Bentham House SR1, from 3pm-5pm on Tuesday 7 November. All are welcome. If you are interested in attending the seminar please contact Peter Phillips via email or on 020 7679 1604 (x41604).
