UCL Chemistry has run workshops for 11-13 year olds as part of the Salters' Festival of Chemistry.
In association with the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Salters' Festival is an initiative of The Salters' Institute, whose aim is to promote the appreciation of chemistry and related sciences among the young. The UCL Chemistry event was one of a series of 52 Festivals taking place at universities throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland between March and June 2006, and was generously sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline.
