Presented in association with the Disasters Emergency Committee, the gala will support the registered charity Buddhist Village Trust of Sri Lanka, which is working to rebuild houses, schools and orphanages in Sri Lanka in the aftermath of one of the worst natural disasters in recorded history.

Theatre staff are donating their time, as are the huge cast of some of the best comics in the country, including Richard Herring, John Hegley, Lee Mack, Kevin Day, Boothby Graffoe, Lucy Porter, Inder Manocha, Addy Van Der Borgh, Neil Innes, Jo Caulfield, Russell Brand, The Magnets and Russell Howard.

Special tickets for the gala plus pre-show meal are also available. Pre-show (5pm) dinner will be freshly cooked by a top Sri Lankan chef, Chad Rahman (National & International Indian Chef of the Year 2003-2004), and served in UCL's Jeremy Bentham Room.
