Graduate School Poster Competition

The first is the annual 'Graduate School Poster Competition', where graduate students can display their research in poster form at an exhibition in the Wilkins Building.

Professor Leslie Aiello, Head of UCL's Graduate School, said: "The competition offers students not only the chance to win generous prizes, but also a great opportunity to advertise and share their innovative work among their peers and colleagues from other fields."

The prizes are divided into four categories for faculty groupings. Winners of each category will receive £400 each, and three runners-up in each category will receive £100 each. Entries must be registered online at the Graduate School's website, and then posters will be displayed on 10 or 11 March 2004, depending on the faculty grouping. The deadline for registration is 3 March 2004.

Review Competition

The Graduate School has also launched a brand new competition this year, the 'Review Competition'. Conceived as an alternative to the poster competition for certain disciplines, such as Arts & Humanities, Laws and Social & Historical Sciences, the competition requires entrants to write a review on material related to their course. The deadline for entries is 23 February 2004. A panel of UCL academics will judge the entries, with results announced on 11 March 2004.
