Publication date: Oct 6, 2017 10:20:52 AM 5 October 2017 Have you spotted students sporting a new bag around campus this week? During the 2016-17 academic year, we asked students to submit their designs for a UCL tote bag competition.

paul-jung Out of the many entries received, Paul Jung (UCL Medical School) was selected as the winner for his striking design featuring the Portico.

"I wanted to design something simple, yet instantly recognisable as being UCL. The obvious choice was the Portico. It's a place that draws not only attention, but also a crowd - it's where I and many others spend time socialising. I think back to when I first sat on the Portico steps during the UCL open day and whilst I reflect on how much I've gained since then, I can't help but look forward to my remaining time here."

The new UCL tote bags were given away to hundreds of students at the recent Welcome Fair and proved very popular!

Paul was awarded a £100 Amazon voucher for his prize.

We'd like to thank all our students for their submissions - and stay tuned for more competitions coming soon!
